Home-bred Tell Me posts 55 Second Challenge victory
Home-bred 3-year-old Tell Me continued her progress through the sprinting ranks by landing one of the popular 55 Second Challenge Heats staged over 955m at Moonee Valley night meetings in Melbourne.
A flashy daughter of Choisir trained by Team Hawkes, Tell Me went to post a $2.35 favourite of the speed test and came through the assignment with her reputation enhanced thanks to a polished ride my 3kg claiming apprentice Michael Poy.
Tell Me ended 2018 with three consecutive victories in Sydney. Her record now reads four wins — at Canterbury (1100m), Canterbury (1100m), Kensington (1150m) and Moonee Valley (955m) — from just nine race starts. The filly also boasts two minor placings, including one in the Listed Gosford Guineas (1200m) last December.
Twice a winner on a soft racing surface, Tell Me holds a nomination for the Group 2 ATC Arrowfield 3YO Sprint (1200m) on Day 2 of The Championships at Royal Randwick.
Tell Me hails from the family of last season’s Group 3 ATC Up & Coming Stakes winner Dracarys and is directly descended from the Group 3 Newmarket Nell Gwyn Stakes winner Martha Stevens.
